Of all the artwork sprinkled throughout the woods, here in the Forest of Dean, one of the most mesmerizing pieces is a stained glass window called “Cathedral,” by artist Kevin Atherton. The colourful window dangles among the trees, supported by wooden beams that form the skeleton of a sculpture. Natural light dances through the window, igniting its splendid colours and dappling the surrounding woodland.
This beautiful stained glass window can be found on the forest sculpture trail from Beechenhurst Lodge. Maps available here for the trail.
I have captured it here on a recycled green tea tea bag, as its been a very popular purchase for many who visit, and, for locals. Painted in watercolour and mounted on quality cotton rag papers, one coloured and mount board.
It sits in a 10inch square white box frame to be fully appreciated and is ready to hang. The original tea bag label is placed on the back of the frame.
