Woody Woodpecker - Tea Bag Art Painting
Woody Woodpecker - Tea Bag Art Painting

NOW SOLD 6/11/20

Happy to reproduce another on commission as very popular x

Don't you just love nature?

This is a one of a kind watercolour and acrylic painting of a baby woodpecker. Inspired by a new family we see each year in our garden.

Hand drawn and painted on an original herbal tea bag and highlighted further with acrylic paints to bring out the texture of his body, head and feathers. I loved the texture of this tea bag canvas and use Heath & Heather herbal tea bags for most of my paintings.

This was quite a challenge, and to depict the bird feeder I used pieces of recycled tea bags by gluing them down. I then took some of my fish pond wire to depict the cage of a feeder itself. A beautiful gift for someone special.

Woody Woodpecker

To compliment this fully it has been mounted on dark lokta and white textured rag paper and sits in a 10 x 10inch black box frame. The original tea bag label is attached to the back of the frame. I believe this was a ginger & Lemon tea bag. If you prefer a white box frame then please do ask.

Creating unique gifts for family, friends and tea lovers from upcycled tea bags, including original paintings, handmade notebooks and tea infused wax melts.

Postage and packaging is £4.50 within the UK signed for and sent within three days.

International interest please contact me first for additional costs.

Thank you for looking, Paula.
